Wendy Dansby earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree at California State University, Fresno. She taught 4th-6th grade for seven years. In 2008, she graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and began serving families in the role of administration. She currently leads Newman International Academy of Arlington and Newman International Academy at Grace as the principal. In addition, she serves all five of the Newman Elementary campuses as Director of Elementary.
Ms. Stock completed her undergraduate work in 2003 at the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a BA in English. In 2014, she received her MS Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University in Austin. During her career, she has been a teacher in the elementary and middle school levels and an administrator at the elementary and middle school levels.
Registrar/ Office Coordinator
Wendy Asare is the Registrar/ Office Coordinator at NIAG. Mrs. Asare holds a Diploma in Practical Theology from Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, a Bachelor’s in Communication Theory and a Master’s in Higher Education Administration, both from Dallas Baptist University. Mrs. Asare has served in Administration/Leadership at Fellowship of Joy Church, City Chapel, and currently at Practical Christian Church. She is passionate about Education, Administration, & Missions. She feels blessed and fortunate to be a part of the Newman family.
Mrs. Tammy Barks received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Phoenix in 2014. She is certified to teach Pre-K through 6th grade. She is passionate about teaching children and teenagers to realize what life has to offer and to strive to be their best.
Writing | Reading | Social Studies Teacher
Mrs. Childs teaches Writing, Reading, and Social Studies. She graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies/Education. She also earned her MS in Social Work from her alma mater. This will be her 9th year teaching at charter schools, and her 4th year at NIA. She also gives instructional assistance in ELAR for the teachers at the elementary campuses. She is a published author, and is working on her second book.
Mr. Daniels is the P.E. Coach Grace Academy. He is a Graduate of Southwestern Assemblies Of God University with a Degree in Counseling Psychology. He worked with at-risk adolescents for over 4 years prior to coming to NIAG. Mr. Daniels was a scholarship Basketball athlete at Southwestern where he was a starting player on the 2004 NBCAA Championship Tournament team. As a High School player, he went to the State Championship in both Basketball and Track, was named MVP in both sports and was selected to the TAPPS All-star game. Mr. Daniels has worked with all age ranges of children for over 10 years, including Shelter and Group Home kids. His goal as a P.E. Coach is to inculcate the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through exercise and healthy eating habits in the youth in a fun and exciting way. He is happily married with three children.
Mrs. Evinger obtained her degree from Texas Christian University. She is excited to begin her first year at Newman International Academy. Mrs. Evinger received her teaching certifications in all levels of Special Education, Technology Applications and Elementary core subjects. She will be teaching our Technology classes at the Grace campus. She is looking forward to having an exciting, creative and successful school year.
Ms. Jessica Langford, kindergarten teacher, graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling. This is her first year at NIA and is excited for what is to come. She believes every student deserves a safe, loving and fun learning environment.
2nd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Loveless received her Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies from Dallas Baptist University and is certified to teach EC-6th and ESL. She previously taught third grade and is excited about teaching second grade this year at Newman!
3rd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Roberts graduated from Arlington Baptist College with a BS degree in Bible/Elementary Education. She completed her pre-service training in Keller ISD. She loves teaching and is excited to be part of the Third Grade team at NIA Grace.
3rd Grade ELAR | Reading | Social Studies
Kathy Tinklenberg received a BS degree in Education and Special Education from University of Sioux Falls and Augustana University in South Dakota. She also earned an MS degree in School Counseling at South Dakota State University.
Kathy began her teaching career in public schools both as a special education resource room teacher and a classroom teacher of second and third graders. She took some time off as a classroom teacher while her children were very young, but she stayed in the education field as an adjunct faculty member at Augustana University and Florida State University, working as a supervisor of student teachers. After moving to Texas, she returned to the classroom at a private school. She taught third, fourth, and fifth grades.
Kathy is teaching third grade English/ language arts, reading, and social studies at the Grace campus.
Music Teacher & Librarian
Mrs. Treminio is the Music teacher and Librarian at Newman International Academy at Grace. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelors of Arts in Music. She has two years’ experience as an elementary music teacher. Mrs. Treminio earned a certificate from CFNI in the School of Worship. She has been married to husband Elias for 5 years.
Lisa Valastro operated a day care center for the Marines and their spouses in Albany GA, and she worked as a Pre-K teacher and Kindergarten aide at Miss Bloomingdale’s Academy in Los Colinas, TX. She homeschooled for 10 years. She was a regular volunteer at NIA and worked on PSC for 2 years as a Volunteer Coordinator. She was a substitute teacher and worked for Brooke of Life, the aftercare program, with 5th-8th grade. She is a children’s leader at Calvary Chapel. She loves working at Newman Grace as a Teacher’s Aide.
Mrs. Vazquez is a graduate from DeVry University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Accounting. This will be Mrs. Vazquez 11th year of teaching and she is certified as Generalist (EC-6), Self-Contained (1-8), Bilingual, ESL, Spanish, Gifted and Talented and Special Education. Mrs. Vazquez was selected as Teacher of the Year and also served as a Teacher Mentor during her teaching career.
Mrs. Vazquez has a passion for teaching and making an impact on the lives of the children that she teaches. Building relationships with her students, is one of her goals, as their teacher and mentor. As well as helping students to reach their potential in their learning. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to church, volunteering and serving others.
4th & 5th Math & Science Teacher
Katie Witts is the 4th and 5th grade math and science teacher at Newman International Academy at Grace. She is excited to be starting her fourth full year of teaching. She was with Arlington ISD for years prior to coming to NIA and has been working with kids in some capacity since she was a teenager. She is from Fort Worth and graduated from Southwestern University in Waxahachie in 2011. Teaching is such a rewarding career. I love building relationships with my students and watching them learn and grow as we work together throughout the year. She is grateful to get to do what she loves every day encouraging students and helping them learn. She feels it is such a blessing to work with such a great team of teachers and staff at Grace, a team committed and passionate about preparing students to be successful.
